i love what you are doing to your copen - i was never a fan of the red colour but you have completely changed my mind - so far my favourite bits are your amazing rims and the cream napa leather seats, door panels and wind visors (so jealous!) - it looks soo good.

Nice job. What's with the tape though? Is that just get the chrome strip to stay in the shape you want until you stick it down?

How do you find the chrome strip when you cut it? Do you get neat ends or are they best out of sight?

You need to get some chrome covers for the windscreen sprayers now.

Yeah... I use scotch tape to keep the chrome strip in place until I am happy with its position before I start pulling the 3M from underneath. I will remove the scotch tape maybe a few hours later.

The chrome strips are actually plastics that can be cut easily. Some do come with ends but they are mostly used for the side of the car.

For window sprayers, there are a few different designs out there. I am still thinking about which one to go for. :)

You could get it vinyl wrapped instead. Meant to be cheaper than respray according to the boys on Top Gear last night. All depends if they can reproduce the exact paint colour though

Try rubbing compound rub on the scuffs. When another car scuffed our Copen I got rid of them by using that stuff. Only £4 from Halfords.

unfortunately i dont think that is going to work, when I say deep rub - i mean a literal smooch with something, luckily they are rubbed smooth, but I dont know how on earth you would ever manage to achieve that sort of damage.

I am going to give the car a good clean when it isnt !!! down with rain and see the exact damage all over the car. The rain has been hiding a few spots!

but even so - if bad -it will only need a respray - i love the colour grey. When I had the bonnet done on the last one it only cost me £250 and was done well. (some lacquer came off - prev person had it repsrayed on the cheap... and it didnt last)

Hi Old Badger, thank you for appreciating what I have done to my car. It makes the effort to document and share the mods well worth it! :):):)

Just bought a set of chrome washer covers from eBay recently. Unfortunately, I think the size is way too big for my liking. What do you guys think? :(

    Wowww ! They're enormous !
To me, it doesn't fit with the car, which looks miniaturised compare to the others cars.
It seems to me you can find original model in chrome.

    You are right! :(

Serves as a good reminder for folks here to ask for the exact dimension when buying stuff online that you are not familiar with.

Got hold of a new Aston Martin style front bumper and a set of so-called bumper protectors. :D

I will need to find some amber lights to fit into those holes and give up on the fog lights too. :(

Hope the fitment is good! :)

A lot of touch up would be needed. All it needs is a proper Aston Martin grille.

This is how the rear bumper protector will hook up, just need to chrome it.

The front bumper protector has a groove that fits the license plate backing on both the stock bumper and new bumper.

A lot of work needs to be done, difficult to say if it would turn out well.

If you are keen to go this classic route, I can always offer some advice to save cost. :)
