Found an audio shop to fix up the speakers. And do up the soundproofing at the same time. First time using STP soundproofing product. Hope it is effective. Initial placement of the tweeters.
Found another shop that has a set of used chrome pods for Morel tweeters. Drilled holes on the A bar to install the pods. Now it looks better with the tweeters in the pod. And the soundstage has been raised nicely to the right height. Vocals and instruments have much clarity now.
My package from Japan has arrived!! Trunk carrier and its base inside... Chrome racing side mirrors... hope there is no need to re-spray the doors... Kumoi badges... front and rear...
nice - just changed my speakers / added a sub but didn't do any soundproofing - thinking maybe i'll have to revisit that. didn't take the component route though - got some JBL full range ones.
on the back panel between the 2 seats - it's a pioneer slimline. not as loud as a 'normal' one but certainly adds a certain something - will have to take a photo tomorrow.
The location of my sub woofer is in 1993 when 'Jungle was Massive' My taste in music has evolved to Classical FM which doesn't need a sub woofer
Not sure about the look of the speakers there. Look like silver golf balls teed up! Lol. Maybe mount in the air vent if you could live without the vents? Wouldn't try that here though. Misty windows common daily occurrence.
It is actually quite common around here to lift up the soundstage in this manner so that you don't get the vocals coming from your ankles. So it is either tweeter pods are used or the A pillar can be customised to handle a 3 way speakers setup like below.
Here comes the racing side mirrors. Seems a bit small for comfort. Probably need time to get used to it.
