Sent the fender vent guards and a spare handbrake level knob for chroming too...

 

This is how they look after chroming...

 

Now the re-installation using 3M double-sided tape and some black silicon gel...

 

Next up, the chrome knob. Twisted the wooden handbrake handle out first to get to the knob.



Unscrew the old black knob.

 

Add in the chromed version.



And replace the wooden handle.

It has been awhile since l last posted here. Here are some updates to share.

Some months back, I worked with my workshop to custom make a bumper grille frame for my ride. Here is the mould that they use.



And here's how it looks like after getting chromed.

 

I had some problems fitting it on when it finally arrived.

 

The bumper guards had a nice & tight fitting onto the front bumper without the frame.

 

Everything needs to be removed for some customization.

 

Initial fitting looks promising.

 

Some simple filing on the back of the bumper protector was done to accomodate the thickness of the new frame. Needs to be precise to get a nice fit!





And back goes everything again. Masking tapes were used to keep the frame in place for afew hours while the silicon dries up.

 

Like it just came out of a facelift procedure.
