Finally, after the workshop is done with all the big continental cars, it is my turn to mod the little red one. First up is the rear bumper protector. The mufflers are too near to it and the exhaust smoke will probably dirty my beautiful chrome. Need to do something about that. And now for more touch ups on the front bumper before it goes for a spray.
This is how the amber lights will look like when its done. Fitting back the original bumper to get back my car and wait for the spraying to be done in a few days time.
the exhaust overlap seems small to me - why not try lowering the exhaust a little at the end... cant wait to see it done! this will be the first for me. p.s so shiny - looks like red candy
It looks black to me. I will probably change the muffler to something smaller but probably not to this extent.
The paint job on the front bumper is done and all ready to be fitted on. Putting on a temporary silver mesh grille. Then comes the chrome bumper protector.
The license plate has to go somewhere. So as a temporary measure, it has been cable-tied to the centre of the grille. Close up on the amber signal lights. It has not been wired up though. Having a brand new look now!
WOW! cant believe how different it looks - totally cool though. you must be chuffed, bet with the roof down it looks even better def not black for me - more brown purple, I was a colour researcher for a while lol!
Thanks Adam! Bad timing on my part. A new license plate has been ordered and will be fixed on this weekend (hopefully). It would be placed in front of the bumper protector in this manner.
Went to get the amber lights wired up today. Safety first! Drilling a hole for the wires to go through.
These new signal lights are flickering so much faster now. It doesn't seem to suit the electrical system well. The description states a SV8 15x43 bulb. What is our Copen stock bulb type?
The new license plate are ready. This time, I am going for a white front and yellow rear plates. The front plate will be placed in front of the bumper protector. A special bracket needs to be customised for the front plate. A long one-inch thick aluminium bar was purchased. Followed by cutting and knocking the two brackets into the right curvature.
