Thank you so much to everyone who came. What an awesome KKITP! Thank you to those that stuck around in the rain, chatting to new members, displayed their cars with pride and left sensibly! What a fantastic display of kei cars, so much variety and so many wonderful owners. You're all so friendly! Well done to all the winners and thank you to all my sneaky kei friends for my hoodie and piston! Best KKITP by far and all because of you guys! Thank you so much everyone Link here: www.kkitp.com/InfoHub/events/event-photos/category/56-2012-annual-meet Some of my favourites: Well done team copen for winning best presented club again!
Back to Germany after some delightful days in the UK and a brilliant "Kei Kars in the Park" event! Thanks again to Emily and all the organisers, you have done a perfect job. So many nice and interesting cars attended, so I am still baffled but very happy to be chosen "KKITP Champion 2012" as well as "Best presented Copen". Very much enjoyed to meet up with all of you, sincerely hope to see some again next year in Germany (click me)? And you can put the blame for the weather on me, as I think the English weather god just wanted to show to that german guy what he has on offer! The pictures I have taken you can watch currently in the album "KKITP 2012" (click me). In case you have Picasa installed on your PC, you can download them in full resolution from there. Andreas
How is the Kei part of Keikars pronounced? When saying my car is a Japanese Kei car I've always pronounced it as the girls name Kay. Thinking about it it could be pronounced as the first part of kayak, Kay, or even the first part of kettle, ke.
We had a discussion & vote over at KKITP, the result of which was that the correct pronunciation is "Kay".
"Kei" means "light" in Japanese; paste in 軽 or けい into translate.google.com and make it pronounce, it sounds like "Kay" or without the "i" tailing sound.
adam 99.9% sure can attend bending my other half's ear a lot for me would be a great way way to meet other Copen owners is there a way we can confirm with you nearer the time when knowing work commitments?
For the 2013 KKITP meet the dates are penciled in for the 7 & 8th of September two day event). Details & confirmation of dates are still to be confirmed. When I know more I will start a new thread. The Sunday meet is open for anyone. You don't need to book a place. If you can make it on the day just turn up.
It's fantastic that so many of you are eager to come to the KKITP meet this year already. Just waiting for confirmation from the park now. Keep an eye out for the new thread for the 7th annual KKITP meet.
