    I'll check my spares manual for a part number on the washer. You should be able to buy them anywhere. You just need to know the diameter of the plug.

    Oil for or a 659 turbo engine:
    If your just changing the oil you need 2.5l.
    If your changing the filter too you need 2.7l.
    5W-30

    According to my Japanese spares manual for the L880k 659 turbo Copen, the part number for the washer is:
    90044-30281-000

    For information the size of the washer is:
    ID = 12.2
    OD = 19
    THK = 2.3
    (mm)

    Oil change

    Is accessing the 1.3 engines oil filter as difficult as the Turbo engine?
    Just joined by the way, wife has a silver 1.3

    What is the oil change schedule for a 1.3?

    How much oil is needed for a change a) without filter change and b) with filter change?

    What kind of oil is best to use?

    Thanks

    David

    A long as I know, you change oil and filter at every 9000miles or every year.
    I personally use Eneos 5w30 fully synthetic as that is what i used to use in Japan.
    I think it was definitely less than 4 litres but not sure exact amount.

    Just to say, I inflate to 35psi and tyre wear is even across the tread.

    Interesting to note, after an ex-dealer service, it always comes back set to 32psi :rolleyes:

    Efff that! I just sold (gave away) my Honda Prelude. I would have done the oil on it my self but it had lowered sports coils on it, and my jack at 100% couldn't even get the car high enough (yeah my bumber was totaly messed up after hitting about a zillion curbs, rocks, bumbs, even parking at a 5% slop would hit it , btw supposedly the coils were a stock option from Honda). I live in Japan and an oil change is about 80 bucks or more depending on where you go.
    Now that I have a Copen, I am totally doing my own oil.

    I think 35psi is what's in the owners manual. The last time I got it serviced, they deflated the tyres to 28psi as they were "over pressured"... They were as flat as a pancake when they handed over the car!

    The tyre pressure is also on the sticker that you can see on the car body (a little way up the frame from the the door sill) when you open the door - show this to the unwise, it also saves getting out the manual :cool:
