Hi, how could I download a manual. Try several times but unsuccessfully. Thanks

I've uploaded some Daihatsu Service and User Manuals.

There are service manuals for both the 659cc and 1298cc models, plus the user manual for the 1298cc model.

You can access them via the directory page.

Please note that you must have been a member of the forums for at least 7 days and posted at least 1 (meaningful) message before you can access the files. This minimal requirement is necessary to prevent high traffic on the website.

On the directory page, you should see a section with the title "Copen Information [Members Only]". This section will only be visible once you meet the membership criteria.

If you don't meet the criteria yet, you'll see a section with the title "Copen Information [Guests]", which means you have to wait longer and/or make sure you have posted at least once before you can download.

You can then click on the photos to access the downloads. With most browsers, this will open a new tab or window, so you may need to make sure that your browser isn't stopping new windows from being opened.

The files are fairly large, so they may take a while to download.

IF YOU HAVE DIFFICULTIES DOWNLOADING: please confirm that you can see the "members only" page, and specify your Operating System plus browser type and version number when posting a request for assistance in this thread. Please describe exactly what happens when you try to download, otherwise it's impossible to help.

Still struggling

Hi,
I've tried to follow your instructions but still cannot open the PDF documents. The following applies in my case:
1) I am in the 'Members Only' of the Copen Information section as advised.
2) I have used the 'What's my Browser' website which yielded the results shown below:

Hi Peter,

Which one of the files are you downloading?

If it's the Service Manuals, it sounds like it's downloading OK, but the problem is then with extracting the files to view them. Different computers and different browsers handle this in slightly different ways.

With your browser (Internet Explorer 11), after clicking on the link, you probably get an option to choose whether to save or open the file. Choose to save the file.

After the download has completed, from the Windows Start button you can then go to your "downloads" folder where the file should have saved (or browse to wherever you saved it if you chose a different location). Right-click on the downloaded file, and select the "Extract All" option. This should extract and display the files for you to view.

Let me know if you can then view the files after they've been extracted. If not, let me know how far you get before you get a problem.

Some of the downloads are compressed into a zip file to make the download smaller. Most recent computers will either uncompress a zip file automatically after downloading, or you can double-click on it to uncompress it.

The files are mostly in pdf format, so you will need Adobe Acrobat (or an equivalent pdf reader) to view them.

Some mobile phones and tablets can't access these files, so please try a desktop computer if you're having problems.

3) Go to http://www.whatsmybrowser.org and copy the full results into your message.

Thanks so much for the information about manuals, the garage I bought my beauty from has 'ordered' a manual (do I sound cynical !) and I am still waiting so being able to download one will be brilliant, this is really a super website. So glad I found you.
