Yes Salieri, I am feeling angry but its no point. I will wait until it gets worse then I will do the repairs properly and then take it back to get it re sprayed. I can tell by closer inspection that the way the panels are pressed together, inner and outer skins and not sealed correctly or rust proofed so moisture is trapped between the skins and it rusts from the inside out and this is the worse type to prevent and stop. Salieri, how would you treat this issue I am having. Grind out rust, then place rust inhibitor such as Kurust, fill it and then prime and spray? Will the rust eventually return? The only way to guarantee no rust is to replace the panel or cut out the metal and replace?

I would go to the shop that "repaired" the rust and tell them to make it right this time. In germany, shops have to give a guarantee on the work they do. Given that it has only been three months, chances are good that they have to comply.

Had aluminium corrosion on my bonnet when I got the car, turned out it was sprayed because of rock chips (but they have used the wrong paint or prepped it wrong, leading to corrosion). Reclaimed at the dealership and they paid me 250 Euro to get the hood resprayed at a different place

Jane: Is ACF50 something like POR15?

Salieri, I know what they are going to say "Well its impossible to guarantee against rust returning unless you replace the panel" So to avoid this stress, I will wait until it gets so bad I cant stand it, and repair the rust myself as I said previously.

I would at least try it, even if it is not the "gentleman" way of doing it.
They have done a shit job, they should be held responsible.
At least a partial refund should be in for you. And I would definitely avoid this shop in the future.

I am really glad that my daihatsu dealership is more or less a sophisticated body shop than a garage. They know their stuff (have even done work for BMW dealerships in the past) and I would definitely not expect rust after 3 months

Thanks a lot! Never expecting it to be rust free but just trying to make it look as tidy as I can for the summer months!

My copen is covered in rust. As soon as I drove it away after purchase I realised that previous repairs to rust we incorrectly treated. Does anyone know or any decent and body work/ paint sprayers in Worcestershire area? Or even a breakers?
