Ah right, you had skipped back a bit. I looked at that photo and couldn't make it out. I dont have a tonneau cover :-(( to compare with. Although I understand what the yellow clip does after looking at Adam's pics.

So its suggested Mega takes his tonneau out and see if the parcel shelf closes properly. Then put the tonneau back on place correctly

Can I watch any back episodes of Blue Peter and see how to make one out of a corn flakes box?

I hadn't thought of that - but good idea!

Frankly, I wouldn't bother... We have a tonneau cover and it lives in the house - not the car. In my opinion, it's too much faffing around to install it, drive where you're going, remove it when parking to put the hood up, then go through all the same rigmarole on the way home.

    Hey Adam K,

Does the fluffy pads really worked to reduce rattle noises?

    Merry Christmas!

    Hi everyone,

Sorry was kinda busy over the festive period and was too busy to reply here. Thanks for all your replies, I'll try them out tomorrow and let you guys know if any of those solutions worked!

I just tried fiddling with the cover in the boot. I removed it, placed it back, made sure the hook was on properly, but still the problem persists. Guess the problem is much more complicated than that.

Will I need to remove the parcel shelf first? Is that the main problem? (Sorry if that was your main point all along, I'm still really confused)

If you've tried removing the tonneau cover altogether (and leaving it out) and the problem persists, then the problem is elsewhere.

I guess the trick would be to figure out where exactly it is not seating correctly - then try to establish what is preventing it from seating.

Adam's quite right - the parcel shelf is easy to remove (and replace) - in exactly the way he shows. It may be that the shelf itself has distorted? Damp and heat can play havoc with MDF panels.

    Hi MeGaLoDoN,
First job take your Tonneau out of the boot, I'll post some pictures of the correct way to fit it in the bag.

Did you refit the parcel shelf in the correct position?

    Hi Megalodon,

are you located in Singapore? Maybe you can meet up with us & I'm sure some of us will be able to help you with it.

    Cheers,

I tried refitting the cover back but it just doesn't fit right. I'm thinking of just bringing it to a mechanic but it's hard to find one who deals with convertibles in Singapore.

@Rodney - Yeah I'm located in Singapore. I've already dropped you a PM. Hope to hear from you soon!

Hi. I seems i have the same problem with the parcel shelf cover wich isn’t flat anymore since the last time i closed the roof.

The parcel shelf is standing on metal arms (seems a bit rusted). Can i change the position of these metal arms by hand?
    Thanks.
