Tony, I bought my Copen three months ago and I had to pay around 1.200e extra for various repairs/maintenance. I think it is better to pay a little more for a car that doesn't require extensive repairs rather than go through the whole process of friction with mechanics who want to charge you for things you may not need etc. Also, I believe you'll have more peace of mind buying the 1.3 instead of the turbo, because if something happens to the turbo it's a lot of money to get a replacement. Personally, I would go for that red Copen in the ad and paint it. Anyway, you still have a couple of months before the sunshine kicks in. After that, it's cabrio season and I'm betting you don't wanna miss it
Whatever you buy, you’ll spend money on it just because you’ll want to improve it for the grin factor. Mine was in good condition but I still had all the fluids changed (brake, gearbox, coolant, engine oil) and the under sealed and a couple of panels painted. I don’t expect to see the investment back, other than in improved reliability/longevity.
Guys, Just wanted to say many thanks for all your tips and advice. Just bought the attached today. 2006, 34,500 miles, two owners and spotless. Android head unit and amazingly clean and tidy inside. Boot floor looks brand new. Thanks again .
