I tried it on the drive home tonight. It does create another , sort of, difficulty, in that I have trouble seeing traffic light when I'm at the front and I sometimes use the gap above the mirror to see them. Tonight I was at the front as had to bob down and bed round to see. But Like DaGomatic says, its the width mostly. It creates a blind spot for left junctions as you get close. I also agree with dsb that putting them down does total block your view. But I don't think thats a fault of the visor as they are therefore doing an exceptional job at light blocking. Its the car is too low or driver is too tall. In sun you will have to drive like this because if you put the visor down you'll be like this and eventually will result in your family being like this :-((
I usually stay back a bit from lights. I learned that the hard way by stopping right on the lights and had to crane my neck under the mirror. The bloody lights didn't change for ages, had a stiff neck for days after.
ha! - when I first collected mine, I couldn't drive so had a friend drive us back. within the first five minutes he didn't see a red light on a roundabout and only avoided steaming straight into the traffic when I yelled at him to stop - but then he is 6 foot 3.
Did you leave the mount in place and mask over the areas, or did you remove it? I'd imagine the former
yes left it in place. Would have been easier to take off with respect to not needing to mask up. But then, because I was applying coats when I came home from work I needed my car next day so had to keep them in place. I ddin't want to keep taking on and off. The masking tape for most parts slipped under the edges.
There is a set of lights near me which have cameras to catch red light jumpers. I found out recently that if those lights stick on red due to a fault and you drive through you still get fined for going through a red. What are you supposed to do?
