i rekon even if the new copen was alli on the rear wings or say if you could get aluminium rear wings for the current copen it would still bubble up in the same way just like it does on the bonnets so it wouldnt really help much over steel
Just thought I would share my rusty arches experience. My Copen (03 41k) had bubbling rear arches and I had quotes ranging from £220 to £580 and naturally I took the lowest quote as he said he would weld in new metal. He certainly did weld in steel on one side ( used the magnet trick) but the other side appears to be filler mind you it wasn't that bad. So, all in all the car looks great and I remain the happiest bloke in the world, Ned
Even if he did weld new metal in he would still have used filler to smooth it all out. Not a bad price you've paid there and hopefully it's a permanent repair.
Oh dear!!! Well after fitting my induction filter and having run the car for a few days i thought it sounded good, car ran well no issue's. HOWEVER, the wife drove the car this morning and she does'nt like it, specifically the sound it makes when you change gear,so it's going to have to come off and i will put back the standard air box. So i will have an induction filter for sale. If any one is intrested please pm me. All pipe work is made from POLISHED stainless steel, had a reducing bush made from the filter neck to match the inlet pipe diameter,Had hole made in reducing bush to take the O2 sensor. I will put a seperate post in the for sale section as well. Looking for around £120 O.N.O.
