The Copen's 1.3 engine the K3-VE engine, was also fitted to the Sirion & Terios.
Searching the T'internet also brings up some Toyota cars.

Personally if I had option of installing a new 1.3 engine, then I'd go for the K3-VET which is the turbo version of the same block. Only problem is it was always coupled with an automatic transmission, I think.

Would a 1.3 Copen engine fit into a 600cc model? I'm just weighing up future options here if the worst happens.

I would be keener to put in a modern low emission engine so Copen Dave would be more environmentally friendly. Nothing to do with not paying road tax.

Also if you put a new engine into an old car does the car mileage stay the same or reset? Daft question I know but I had no real interest in cars prior to getting the Copen so I know nothing about them bar where to put the fuel.
