Blueprint make their own I believe. i.e. I don't think its a company stamping their own name on something made on contract by another.

I don't need an air filter now.

My plugs were about £25. I think

Their site say they are "quality aftermarket"........thats good enough for me :D

Quote from a forum; Can't speak for their fuel filters but generally speaking I've never had a problem with any Blueprint parts.

Someone said to me that a lot of their stuff is unbranded OEM parts; don't know how true that is though.

I've been reading up on oil filters and was a bit surprised about Fram. It's a brand I've always associated with quality but it's not the case. They do poorly in the "cut the filter open and see what is inside" stakes.
Bosch got slated on the Scooby forum, they have no bypass valve built in.
Reading comments from a pro engine builder, he says buy the biggest filter you can find which has the right thread for your car and will physically fit the space you have. Looks like size is important when it comes to lubrication.:)

On the 600 cc, I have tried twice to get the blueprint filter installed - no joy. There is an aftermarket filter that fits through the engine bay - either Mahle or Mann. I'm on my phone so cannot check. From memory, it was €10, and I have the part number listed here in a post (search for "oil air filter spark")

I have a few other brands of oil filters that I will test out when I get back from holiday, but I have a feeling that they won't fit through the gap in the engine bay.

I have also used the Mann / Mahle air filter... I will test out another one as well, which is FAR cheaper.

As for sparks, I got the Iridium ones. Yes, they are pricey but worth it. You will need a gapping tool for the sparks, as they are not preset (0.6 to 0.7, sparks come gapped at 1.1)

Number 6, DaG and I don't use the same oil filter you was talking of. Fitting through a gap is not an issue for us.

I didn't gap my sparks. They say on them to use as is as they are set for the performance of the spark plug. I've not noticed any issues with them for over a year of use. I've not gapped a spark plug for years now. It was in 90s last time I did. I don't know if there is any difference for a turbo engine or the 0.7 form.

just looked at the box for the spark plugs I had in my Ford before the Copen, NGK iridium IX, and on the back of the box it has a big red cross through a gapping picture.

2nd edit: just looked up difference between NGK iridium IX and NGK laser iridium. IX just have iridium tip (single precious metal). lasers have iridium on both electrodes (dual precious metal). IX designed for 40-50k miles. Lasers for 80-100k miles. I have lasers in the Copen.

    Hello dwayner
I am surprised about this total amount of oïl/filter changes : 68 times means 340 000 km if changed every 5 000 km
And if you own it since 2003, that means you make about 34 000 km every year with it. If it is exact, it's a very interesting experience :)
On an other hand, you say that you spend 2200 $ a year for servicing your Copen, that seems to me a high cost :( Does it related to costly repaired works ?

I think it's an interesting discussion to know what is the car budget for a year ;)
Be happy to know more about your long life with turbo Copen :)
