I'm not sure it's time to go on with the thread but... I'm the owner of : a wonderful Copen 0.7, that's why I am here an old 2CV 45 years old, young compared to me, wonderful car also, an 25 years old Visa, Citroën 652 cc car, all genuine status, real pleasure to drive... a VW Polo, 181 000 km, the only car with a hook for my Eriba Panfamilia, a Clio which is close to leave me (or I will leave it ?). But Copen was a great discovery for me. Fourty years after 2CV was, as my first car, in 1970' I hope all of you enjoy this car .
although my husband has a convertible audi a4, I would never drive "his" car, like I wouldnt let anyone have access to my copen either. .... I pay off the copen in summer 2015 - when the honda s660 is rumoured to be coming out... so ask me the question again then when I may say (hopefully) it is not my only car
Thanks for resurrecting this thread, Copencat - fascinating stuff! What a range of cars are owned by Copenworld members. My favourite is Tiff who gets to drive his Dad's Ginetta G33 - lucky fella! Fell in love with the G33 when his namesake (Needell) drove it on the old-style Top Gear back in 1992. What a looker! Mind you, the 1.8L engine mated to a light bodyshell makes it a bit more of a handful than dear old 1.3 Neville! My other car? A bog-standard 1.2 Honda Jazz! Bit of a contrast, but then it's a heck of a workhorse and utterly reliable. Whilst I'm amazed at how much actually does fit in a Copen, it can't haul logs like the Jazz and I'm hoping not to put as many miles on it (145000 on the Jazz at last count!). Really looking forward to spending more time in Neville when I don't have to keep fitting his propellor and rudder! Roll on yellow-orb-time!
My other car is a lovely emerald green Nissan Figaro called Esme, I have a bit of a problem at the mo as work issues mean I may have to part with one of them - a very tough decision as I love them both, wish the copen was an automatic too!
Thanks CC, it saves any arguing - "I think I'll drive the copen to work today", "yes, me too", etc...
Wow! Stereo Copens ) And, to import a different thread, I guess one is male and one female. Do they have names?
My other car is a Pearl White Lexus IS250. It is a very comfortable and quiet car to ride in. We used it when our family of four needs to move around. It is afterall a normal saloon car and nothing fanciful when compared to the fun Copen. So my wife used the IS for work and I get all the fun in our red Copen.
Sorry Mr Badger but they neither have names or genders. Might just be me, but I cannot anthropomorphize cars or other mechanical objects (Cats maybe) - although the term "mechanical object" is somewhat of an injustice. The copen is after all, a great work of art, a pulchritudinous manifestation of automotive excellence!
who has which colour? and which engine? I'm the same - but you know the way people talk about their kids - i talk the same about my copen (i.e. - i could dull people endlessly about it)
i own one other car, but it's not roadworthy and was supposed to be a project. Fiat Panda Colour model.. kinda rare now, but things have put a set back on it. Copen is my only and daily drive.
..other cars Our main family car is a Focus diesel. The Copen is mainly for driving cross-country to work. My commute takes me through The Cotswolds - ideal roads for the Copen especially as there is only me in the car. I've been looking enviously at Copens for some time now. My old Panda diesel spilled its guts on the driveway this week, after 170,000 miles, so I had a good excuse to buy the Copen. I also have a '38 Austin Seven which is too slow, unreliable and fragile for my long commute. It's last "big" fault was a broken crankshaft, and long journeys always become an adventure.

No arguments Hilarious reading about my car here but to comment on this thread - After my KA was written off I was lucky enough to find an absolutely amazing Copen with all the trimmings already attached. I wouldn't have had the money to put the amount of 'bits' that the original owner has splashed out on! I (we) visited a few cars and were amazed at the standard of this one! To repeat what has already been said I too love my little car, have not given it a name and having 2 on the drive at home definitely means no arguing.....so far
Which one is best? There's only one way to find out... Well Sir Harry Hill, in this case there is room for both... I didn't think I'd get a car that I love as much as my bike but in reality I think that there's still biking days and car days - this recent rain has meant a lot of car days!
