LED headlights not legal in OZ unless it originally came with them. Even most tail light here aren't ARD compliant.
I'm not sure you should have used tyre shine as you don't know what effect it may have on the fabric or integrity of the belt it's really only...
It is possible to rebuild shocks and get them custom valved (they could be softer in my opinion for aussie roads anyway).
You could just epoxy the hole up then re drill the correct size.

I think the yellow plugs are for the airbags. Someone probably disconnected the passenger side one for a child to ride in there.

First check there's no loose, split pipes. This is likely cause since there's noise coming from the engine bay. Then pull the inlet pipe off check...
