Hi all, for your long-term planning the organisers of next year's Copen meeting in Germany already published details about their plans: 13th to 15th June 2014 in the region of "Oberpfalz" in northern Bavaria. Further information can be found in this thread at forum.micro-roadster.de (click me). I will also update the thread here when more information become available. We all are very much looking forward to welcome Copen-drivers from abroad. Astrid and Tina (Organisers) and Andreas (Scooty, just doing some PR) PS: Of course you can also contact me directly by replying or via PM here at copenworld.com
Currently 43 Copens with 74 persons from 4 countries have registered for the meeting. We will be delighted to welcome even more participants from abroad. If you need any additional information or assistance, please let me know. Andreas
Hi all, just a little piece of information: All rooms in the hotel are blocked for participants of the meeting only until 12th of April 2014. After that date the hotel will start to give out rooms also to other guests and the hotel might not be able to fulfill later bookings of participants of the meeting. But of course some more accomodation is available nearby. Information about additional accomodation and the latest information about the meeting can be found in this thread or this board at forum.micro-roadster.de. Currently 52 Copens with 87 persons from 5 countries have registered for the meeting. If you need any further information please contact me by replying here or via PM. Andreas
We were looking at the itinerary last week and it looks great, I wish we could come but I work in a school so am not allowed any days off during term time :-(( (I know 13 weeks holiday a year and still complaining! - we don't get paid for those 13 weeks mind you). Our German road trip is going to have to wait until I get a sensible job
Sorry to hear, but thanks for the feedback. Let me know when you are around in Germany during one or two of your 13 weeks holiday in order to have a (albeit smaller scale) meeting. Andreas
For Easter we hade a little pre-meeting in the region of this year's big meeting (see first post in this thread). Please follow the links for some pictures: Easter Meeting in Oberpfalz Hotel for the big meeting: If not these pictures motivate you to come to the meeting I just dunno what else I could do to convince you. Andreas
Nice meetup Andreas! Do you have a close-up of the blue one? The grille doesn't look original, was it modded?
Hi Joe, yep, we had a great time. You'll find some closeups of the blue one in my photo album of last year's big meeting. The grille is the Type-B from Moderno 2&4 (Rouge & Noir) (Japan), originally in stainless-steel but painted (could also be powder-coated) in orange. This type of grille unfortunately does not seem to be available anymore. Andreas
Apologies Hi Andreas, Please accept and convey our apologies for the next Copenfest. Jill & I will hopefully be in Bulgaria fitting the pool filters that you very kindly helped us to obtain last year. Best Wishes for a most amazing 2014 get-to-gether... Peace and All Good Things, Nev, Jill & of course Dotty
wow looking good - infact best looking car park One day Scooty - we shall meet our continental friends
Really no need to apologise, just make sure to let me know when any of you comes to / drives through (or even moves to? ) Germany. Andreas
Hi all, 70 Copens from 5 countries (UK, France, Netherlands, Austria, and Germany) attended the meeting. The region of Oberpfalz is highly recommended for a visit, lots of small, well-built roads in a nice and hilly landscape. The organisers did a perfect job, even tried to teach us the local dialect through a little quiz-show. Tours on Saturday and Sunday event with a convoy of Copens from the hotel to the museum were a definite highlight. Weather couldn't have been better, not too hot and mostly sunny, no rain at all. So all together a memorable event with nice Copen-people. Pics (and I am sure some videos to come) can be found in this thread at forum.micro-roadster.de [click me] (as ususal, most pics can only be seen when logged in, but in some posts there also are links to online-galleries). Here are some teasers: Andreas PS: Next year's meeting is planned to be held in the region of Erzgebirge (click me), more details will be announced as soon as they become available.
