Hello, I'm looking for a wind deflector if anyone has one. Mine had a few scratches which I tried to buff out but made a pigs ear of it. Let me know if you can help?

Just get some plexiglass and use the old wind deflector as a template. Should be a cheap fix

I am trying to find someone who can do it for me as I'd only make a hash of it

I managed to find a place that can custom later cut them and engrave with your own design. Mine was hideously expensive because they needed to scan the old one as a template which added to the cost. If anyone else is after one it is just £70 including custom engraving and delivery

I saw a lot of links about this chap but his site doesn't work, he doesn't reply to email or PM through the German copen forum. The one I'm having made should be the same

Is there a local company that does work with plexi glass? You could give them a call asking whether they could cut out a piece for you, if you have two left hands...

I ordered mine (LED Lights included) from yahoo.jp.

With the help of Jesse Streeter ofc.

Was really easy and the service was grand.

damaged plexi glass you can fix up by sanding it ...... :) start with 600 wet , then 1200 wet , then 2000 wet .
then a cut and pollish .
you can also do this on your light covers .
do spray a sealer that is not effected by uv as a last layer to avoid discolour .
a few thin layers is better then one thick one .
if you seal it ensure you remove all wax first !

Tried exactly this. Didn't work at all. No matter how much you sand you are always left with a slight blur to the glass.

I managed to find a place to cut a new piece to size and also engrave to my own specs. It arrives today so will post some photos. If anyone else is looking for a personalised wind deflector let me know as the bloke has done all the the template stuff now so should be about £70 including delivery and personalised engraving

70 quid for a piece of plastic? For that money I could buy a piece of plexi glass, a laser engraver and a small saw :D

I wet sand to 5000 grit then polish with something like T Cut finally move to a restoration polish and a duck down power mop.

Hi all, I've just added a Copen sticker to give an etched look on the wind deflector. What do you all think? Looks like a good fake

Looks good, I have been thinking about something similar, but with the word actually shaded red to match the interior. Waspy currently has "Daihatsu" on the deflector.

I got in touch with someone on ebay so now he has the Copen logo ready to go if anyone else wants one. He is very helpful & seems happy to customise. His website is www.vimage.co.uk and his name is Andy. I paid £8.50 for my frosted decal so he is very reasonable on price too. The price for a silver one was £6.00 so I presume a coloured one would be about this too.
