I'm no copen turbo price expert, just a know-it-all!, but I'd say you are still over priced to be competitive. I can see similar age turbos with similar or less mileage from high 2000 to mid 3000 pounds. Now they have working turbos. Seeing as it will cost £750+ to buy a new turbo and then I bet its a few hundred quid for fitting (if not being done by buyer) then you need to sum in an approx £1000 immediate and essential cost on top of buying the car. There are some mid 3000 to 4000 plus where your price range sits after repair but they are mostly dealers and at least there they go convenience of car working when they buy it.
To be fair though, once it's bought and fitted, a car with a brand new turbo would be more attractive than one with a working but perhaps 50000 mile old turbo so that should offset the price back a bit. On that basis I wouldn't drop the entire turbo replacement cost off the price either.
Thanks. I've been phoning around for prices of turbos, but was hoping just for an easy sale to someone who wanted a fix up project. But, alas, no luck. Cheers
