Hi guys I know my copen has 15 inch wheels, I'm looking to change them as they have seen better days. It's the only thing that will be non standard so please don't shoot me. I've looked through the manual and cant seem to find the exact specification, read somewhere if I dont get it right it could fail the mot if too wide etc. Sorry if obvious but I know nothing about wheels, does anyone have the exact measurements I need for wheel and tyre size? Thanks in advance appreciated.
Make sure the new wheels are not too wide. Standard wheel is 4.5 inches wide with an offset of 45. If you are still using 165 width tyres, don't use a rim more than 5.5 inches wide.
If you are interested, and you may not be, I have a set of mini lite style wheels with almost new Bridgestone tyres. They came with the copen when I bought it. The rims could do with a refurbishment but I don’t intend to use the wheels again as I moved to 14” rims with higher profile tyres to (in my view at least) improve the ride.
Hey - those look good - so much so I did a bit of googling and I find the BMW mini has a range of wheel sizes - can you remember what the spec was for yours? Thanks
Hi - Do you still have the Minilite wheels and tyres for sale? Been looking for a set to go straight in the Copen. thanks Nick
