One of the two connection bars, the one NOT connected to the gearshift, uses a rubber joint, this has increased clearance. disassemble, grind rivet, drill and put some M6 thread in there and with some washers you can increase the pressure on the rubber joint, so the clearance gets lower. This modification makes the gear shift more sturdy.
