We've just purchased a 2004 Copen, just love it.

Only problem so far is the seat belt retainer on the back of the seat, causes it to tangle. the belt's fine if you don't use it.

Is there a simple solution to this problem?

Used to have a White Copen, but I sold it in 2023
I also have the Take off seat belt guides; they are better than the OEM seat belt guides but not 100% perfect.
Would still definitely recommend using aftermarket seat belt gudes

I have taken apart the interior of my car recently. Its easy to remove the plastic cover behind the seats. That way you can reach the seat belt "coil" and the hidden guides. If you clean those up and spray the belt with silicone spray, the belt will retract much easier.

never use silicone spray, use soap water and clean the seat belt and its goes with the orginal.
