I pressure washed the underside on Friday to get the bulk of the crud off.Let it stand till today so it dried thoroughly . Stripped the back end down ,i was surprised at the amount of fixings on the bumper Then applied this in copius amounts inside every part i could get access to The rust under there wasent too bad to be honest ,i think its only been used in fair weather .Hoping it should last a few years now
They rust down there from the inside out. Condensation forms on the inside of the panel, and they were not coated properly from the factory inside the arch on the side you cannot see. If you take all the paint off the side you can see, you will find it is rusting under the paint. It is rusting from the inside out! Make sure the drain gap at the bottom of the sill edge is clear too.
Took the bungs out and sprayed in there also ,drains on sill bottom are clear i sprayed in there also through the bungs on sill underside.
