Hi all ! Was recently thinking about remapping my 1.3, im just wondering is this a good idea? what are the cons of remapping the copen if there are any? and has anyone done this before? Thanks!
I would like to also. Looked into. Difficult to find people in UK. Who can you trust and not pay £300 and get 1 hp more I think it needs an exhaust to benefit. Ideally a new exhaust manifold but none available for a 1.3 and a 200 cat.
i know a lot of options available for the 660cc but not for 1.3, even getting an air filter is hard! i know there was a post on here before about it so i emailed the guy that was thinking of having it done, il let you know if he gets back to me so we can find out!
I think I posted some messages about my air filter mod/change. I had to put together my own set up. It gives a bit of roar when footing it at higher revs. Not loud but you can hear and feel all 86 horses blasting past Audi TTs. There is more for the turbo model because people feel sorry for them with their little enginette.........I mean because all of them over in Japan and far east are turbos and so there is a much bigger market for it. I think even most over here in Europe are turbos so with the sales declining when the hot rod 1.3 came out there was never enough for any after market people to be bothered.
haha! is it possible for you to send me the link on how you did the air filter? can you feel an acceleration increase with it? haha great feeling! a tt parked next to me in work the other day there, had the full car park to park but wanted to park next to me ahh i see, the 1.3's are pretty rare i noticed.
https://www.copenworld.com/vb3/showthread.php?t=1604&highlight=filter Thats my thread for my air filter details. no you can't feel an acceleration increase. An air filter won't improve power like that. It can improve a bit of response. There are one other thing about induction on the 1.3 copen that as I see terrible for good induction. I'd like to take the inlet manifold and see if there are an mouldings that need to cleaned up.
