Hi, I'm brand new here so please be kind! I am just about to buy our first Copen but noticed some cars have a metal plate around the exhausts. Is this to stop the black staining and if so, does it work ok? Can they be retrofitted and can you buy them as a spare part? Thanks in advance, Diddlum
Hi Diddlum, Welcome to Copenworld. The rear heat deflector guard is only really a bit of bling for the car. It serves no real purpose other than looking good. It is a genuine Daihatsu Copen accessory. Here's the last price I had from Daihatsu for this part (June'12): 99901680K2029 RR BUMPER HEAT GUARD: £116.71+vat
