Spotted a sliver 2004 parked up at the side of a road near Pocklington town centre. I had parked behind it but almost didn't notice it. It was in excellent condition considering its age a very good example. Do we have any Pocklington members?
It was behind me it was the mirror I should have looked in. There were two cars between me and the Copen I wasn't directly behind it. The Copen was sort of almost unnoticeable thanks to its demure stature. Nice car though, had a chrome handbrake end bit.
I knew it was worth ordering the chrome knob bit, lol, it's attracted a comment on here, did you get a picture? Garry
Clare had spotted the 'Chrome handbrake end bit' and so we've ordered one, I never thought anyone would notice, but clearly it makes a difference!
It was from ebay, about £10 including very slow postage! It hasn't arrived yet:-(( http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/261118703676 I am glad you noticed it because he said it was a waste of money.
When I was looking for a Copen last year I looked at one that had a bit more than just a chromed end button on the handbrake. It had the handbrake grip in chrome which I think was the one in this link below. Maybe you should order the grip as well, will look good with your chrome button. There's no import duty from Germany as a bonus. http://shop.chromdesign.de/product_...remsgriff-rillen-in-aluminium-verchromt.html&
I did look at that but don't want to over do the chrome - what with being an Essex girl and everything .
It has finally arrived! Has anyone got any idea how I get the old knob out to replace it. I tried to just pull it out but I didn't pull too hard as Idon't want to break anything!
It's screwed on. So you just need a good grip & turn anti-clockwise. Do we pay import duty from countries within the European union? I don't remember paying any when I've bought from Chrome Design.
Thanks Adam. I will give that a go! I don't think you pay import tax in Europe. I didn't on the things I have ordered. It only seems to be on random things from Japan. I am hoping that they don't notice my new grill when it finally arrives. (I have been waiting 6 weeks so far:-(()
There's no duty if you buy from countries in the EU. I've bought stuff from the States on a few occasion and not paid any duty. Others I know have also bought from outside Europe and they have had to pay it. It seems to be bit of a lottery whether you pay or not. Courier delivery is apparently worse than the GPO for having to pay it. If you buy from outside the EU try and have it sent by the GPO, less chance of paying.
