I bought a Copen with very ugly seats. The seats were intact, but I don't know what the previous owner did to them. Hitting the color was a science, but I think I got away with it. I haven't painted the headrest, so you can see the difference there.
That looks great! Maybe you could write a little explanation on your new techniques and materials used as I sure other folks would give it a try.
Here is the recipe. After many attempts I ended up mixing 2 red colors from Angelus leather paint. This is an American brand that is available everywhere on the web. I have mixed 3 parts Autumn Red with one part Red. Before painting I cleaned the seats. Then I gave them a light go with sandpaper. Finally, I wiped them over with a cloth with alcohol. I haven't given them a coat yet, and here Angelus has 4 different glosses. I have bought Satin, but I may be going down a step in gloss after testing. I used a foam paint brush.
