    Hello,

Just got my exhaust swapped out for a custom stainless from Infinity Exhausts Bristol, did a good job and only took just under two hours. Sounds a little bit better than before but i didn’t want it to loud and the tail pipes are very similar just bigger.

    Can I ask SMX,
Was this a full system and how much did it cost?

    Thanks,
    Rex.

    Yes you can!

Not quite a full system, they used a bit of the original exhaust comming out from the Manifold just past the sensor (Lamda?) they put a joining plate in and then replaced the rest.

Came to £350, not only the cheapest quote i could get but there not a powerflow dealer (heard bad things about them), hence why i traveled from Bournmouth to Bristol to get it done.

    Hi Nightwish,

This is the first exhaust i have ever replaced so im not to hot on the lingo but as the bit they kept was a peice of pipe and it went down I'm guessing the down pipe is the bit they kept original.

On the old exhaust it was all one peice but they cut it and put in a joining section just after it turns towards the back of the car

    Nice!

Looks good! I was thinking about putting my friends spare standard Suzuki GSR exhaust boxes as a direct replacement on mine, haha! Vroom, vroom!:)

    Hi Smx

Have you got any quotes from Bournemouth? I am sorting turbo problems right now, but will need a new exhaust soon. :(

    Cheers!

Yeah i tried, Mike Stokes in Charminster they wanted around £430 inc VAT and a perfromance car garage in Southbourne wanted, £150 plus VAT for the rear section only or £375 +VAT for the whole exhaust.

I did get a message back from Long Life in Salisbury though who originally qouted me £350 +VAT saying they had had a rethink and could make me a very good offer, sadly i had allready had mine done by then.
