As I am older it's a little embarrassing for me. As I fitted the HKS intake kit I hear...the turbo spinning and some kind of grindy noise. More like shhhhhhhhh! As I gear up it goes shh'd shhh'd. It could be the turbo bearing...but sound is definetely not coming from the turbo. Maybe cracked intake pipe? HKS intake holders; do you get sounds like this?
I couldn't hear anything wrong. Just sounds like the normal induction roar (air getting pulled in) then the wastegate opening (blow off valve).
I fitted my a couple of weeks back too and I just got the HKS intercooler together with the pipes. I must admit that the sound is a little weird. My mechanic said that something is off with my car and he wants to have a look at it again. I'll try to record mine if possible. I do hear something similar to what you posted.
So you hear some kind of air sucking in....but can't really call a air sucking in? More like SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH~ SHHH'd SHHH'd? I think that's how it's to be...weird...very weird...
