We just received our 2003 Copen after a long trip from Japan to Vancouver, then a loooong train ride to Halifax Nova Scotia. My wife is very pleased as it is really her summer car. It's going into storage right away which will give me some time to read up on taking care of it. Thankfully it is going indoors for storage as we seemed to have jammed the roof open by having the tonneau cover in the trunk / boot. Windows and roof are dead now. I tried for hours to get it to budge, but no joy. I tarped it over to keep the dirt and mice out. I'm sure I will get it sorted once I have access to the manual.
Welcome to the group, @Scooterboy! One thing that you should do immediatelly, particularly as up north as you are, is to protect the underside. These japanese cars do not have any (or very little) protection and it would rust quite severily (I'm talking from experience) if not maintained properly. Regarding the roof being stuck, see elsewhere in the forum about the cable hooks to release the boot and how to use them. If you don't have them (or if they are stuck in the boot) you can very easily make ones yourself with just a bit of wire. Enjoy the car!
