I'm curious to know if anyone else has issues with their headlights.

I seem to go through light bulbs very quickly and have tried different brands and specifications, but none last very long.

Also no matter how bright (within legal limits) the bulbs I buy they never seem to illumination the road ahead much. Is this because of the shape of the lenses within the headlamp?

To remedy both of the above issues I have thought about installing LED bulbs and ballasts instead. Has anyone else converted to these and if so are they any good.

Your views would be greatly appreciated:)

Get a slim hid kit, it sounds like you got a brake or damaged earth somewhere if ur killing bulbs, hid kits are easy to fit but you would have to remove the head lights (deff the drivers side) to health bulbs in as they are longer on the back side of the bulb. Will be fitting some when I get round to it, it will be a mot fail tho as they are not self leveling nor have a headlight cleaning kit fitted, but most mot places will just ignore them if u hide the ballasts

That's interesting that you say that your headlights aren't particularly bright - I have a 63 plate Mazda 6 and I have to say the headlights on my 57 Plate Copen are far brighter/better than the Mazda - then when you put the Copen's fog lights on and Wow!

I've had the Copen for 4 and half years and to my knowledge the bulbs are the originals.

    Regards.
