Lucas has sold out to Disney (over 4billion) and Disney plan to bring out a new film every couple of years. Hope they don't overkill it and also hope they improve on the last two which I thought were poor compared to the originals.

    Totally agree with you DaG.
Excited by what story it could be. I wonder if they'll use the Timothy Zahn trilogy novels as a basis?

Even more excited now. All the original cast including Harrison Ford maybe making appearances in the new film as there characters. How cool will old Han Solo be.
    Two years to go.

Yes, that should sell the film.
Some of the other original cast have done little since the original trilogy so they will be glad to be back in the limelight. They have a writer for the new films, Michael Arndt who wrote toy story 3. I'm looking forward to the films now, before this I expected another money making hash up like the last three films.
Still prefer star trek though - why didn't they make a Voyager movie?:(

I'll have to sort my usual avatar out. I normally have Seven of Nine as my avatar on other forums but because my laptop is defunked and I am using an iPad I can't do anything with images.
I'm a massive fan of the old Irwin Allen TV shows like Lost in space. Just bought the box set of the original 1st season so that should keep me busy on cold winter nights. Time tunnel, voyage to the bottom of the sea and Land of the Giants are next on my shopping list.:D

I remember watching Lost in space & Land of the Giants on Sunday afternoons.
