My clutch cable has snapped. My usual place has said it is too big a job for them as it would mean taking out the dashboard to get access. Does anybody know of a garage in the West MIdlands/Birmingham that has worked on Copens before and might be able to fix mine? thanks for any help.

not easy to fix, cost some time...but I live in germany:( good luck

You often can change the inner wire..if you lucky, thats the easy way..like a brake wire from a bike.

My mechanic managed to replace mine her in Australia without removing the dash. I have no idea how he did it. Took two weeks for the cable to come from Japan...

Long story but it needed the clutch replacing as well as the cable. Major job to do this and a few days waiting whilst garage got the parts but all done and working again. Very hard to find any garage willing to do the work or one that is able to source the items but eventually took it to Browns Lane Garage near Coventry CV5 9DS - they used to be a Daihatsu dealer and still have Daihatsu trained mechanics. Try them if you need anything other than the usual servicing.

Hi, good to hear about it, but how much do you spent for it? Not even easy to change the clutch without lower engine , lot of work ..

    can you give me details?
