Hello, My other half has a 2007 Copen 1.3 which she loves although it's very old! It's getting a bit past it and is currently in for service & MOT. The mechanic has said that it needs brake cables and some other brake parts, I'm seeking clarification on exactly what, but they also said that they cannot get the parts. Given the rarity of the vehicle and the lack of a Daihatsu presence in the UK I can understand the issue but is that actually true? Are there any reliable parts suppliers in the UK, or even better, somewhere close to Yorkshire where we are based? Thanks in advance for any pointers you may be able to give. AR
Hi AR, I recently replaced the brake lines with these ones: HEL Stainless Brake Line Hose Kit | Daihatsu Copen 1.3 2007- Brake pads and disk brakes are readily available in the UK. However, if you’re looking for performance options, you’d likely need to order those from Japan. As for smaller parts, I don’t have direct experience, but I believe they should also be available in the UK.
