    Hi dear all,

I've seen a Blitz exhaust (rear muffler) for the l880k, and I'ld like to know if it can be installed on an l881k.

Are the end muffler the same for Boah version ?

Thanks for your next answer ;-)

It's almost certainly compatible, but it looks a tricky job to me because of the sharp entrance curve of the exhaust pipe into the oe muffler. And the entry and exit are at different heights compared to a regular muffler. Just my observations.

    Thanks for your answer.

You mean the end muffler is different for the l880k then for the l881k ?

I'm almost certain they are the same part on both cars.

Me too, but I'm not able to find the end muffler part number for both model... So I dont want to take the risk to pay the wrong one.

I swapped mine out for a custom set up, only the rear section, but I wanted some more noise. The 4"x16" replacement is a through pipe and yet I still want a bit more noise. So next task is to replace the front half and swap out the mid muff for something more appropriate. I don't want super loud, but the rear OEM Copen silencer is massive and over the top for an aspiring sporty roadster.

I think the same ! The Copen is too quiet for my taste and I want more deep tone from the exhaust.
Blitz make a nice muffler, but only referenced for the L880k...

Just go to an exhaust specialist and they will replace as much of the old exhaust as you want, as is necessary. There's no need to stick to parts only referenced for Copens. The installer will know what is appropriate.

We don't have that kind of specialists in Switzerland, so no way to do that...plus I prefer to install something well done and not too noisy if possible ;-)

I'm not sure what your options will be. I find it difficult to believe that there are no exhaust specialists in Switzerland, but you will know better than me, of course. Perhaps it may require going over the border elsewhere? But if you want to have the job done well and have the result not too noisy, as well as not rely on the OEM baffler (which is like a beer barrel and will produce zero noise), then an exhaust specialist is undoubtedly what you will require, or a good garage that specializes in aftermarket exhausts, unless you are attempting to DIY.

I can do it by myself, but I'm not motivated to send time on an exhaust not quiet enough, or too noisy...

So I'll let the OEM one I think, or I'll try to find this info somewhere... ;-)

I hope you resolve the issue with the right part for you. I can defiantely recommend a good quality 4 x 16 inch straight through replacement box. As I mentioned up thread, it's definitely not too noisy for my ears. It's perfectly civilised with the roof down and with the roof up I find the Copen sounding like a normal car!

So, finally the Blitz nur spec VSR exhaust is mine and installed !

It's very quiet but it makes a nice deep tone.
It's brand new and it need to be used to make it's best sound I think...
