Hi bros and sis I tried to install the original Apexi pen type auto timer on my Copen, but went to 5 WorkShops and no one knows how to fix, and said Apexi can't be used on Copen. but another friend of mine using replica Apexi did and working fine on his copen so he say replica can fit and original one can't. What BS. Then went to buy HKS turbo timer with the same problem. Engine will stall when turn off key. Only Have to rev til 2K RPM will it be able to start countdown with engine running. A mech checked my friend set up and said his was installed with a diode and a relay near the timer console. Anyone know what is that diode and relay for coz mech himself was scratching head too. Even went to audio Workshop also can't help. His was the 6th WS I visited and to no avail.. Anyone using a timer that can just fix and use rather than having to add diodes and relay? If yes what brand is it? Thanks!

Ps: I'm using the stock remote lock if that helps.

    Nightwish,
This does not answer your question but....
I noticed this thread on Copen Owners Club. It proves it is possible to fit an auto timer, but it is not an Apexi.

My car does not come with a turbo timer installed? is this absolutely necessary? I really want to keep my ride for the long term, so anything that helps to maintain the engine well would be important to me. Thanks!

It's a device used on turbo engined cars, which allows the engine to continue running after the ignition has been turned off. Allowing effective cooling of the oil & preventing coking of the oil in the turbo.

This device doesn't seem to be important to most owners here. Hope my turbo can last without it.

What I do is when I stop I wait for the fan to stop running. I assume things have cooled by then

No, I'd never heard of one before. I've never had a turbo car. I didn't even given it a thought about not turning the car of straight away but leaving it to run to allow the turbo to cool.

I used to have MR2 Turbo, God it was Fast! Too Fast in fact!! Anyway that had a timer. Basically when I turned it off the engine was still running till it cooled down. It turned even more heads! Had to sell it in the end otherwise I'd have probably got myself banned!!:)
