Hi everyone , maybe a dumb question but can anyone explain the auto locking as mine only seem to work after I have been in the boot and not when I just exit the car many thanks

That's just the way it works I'm afraid.

The idea is if you open the boot using the long press on the remote fob and don't open the doors, they will self lock.

I've been caught out by this one .... Opened the boot and put my coat in and closed it. By the time I tried to open the door, they had locked - and you can guess where the keys were....

Time to call out the RAC...

    Hi !
First of all, sorry for my English !...
When you unlock the car, you can open the door for about 15 secondes. If you don't, a security system will lock them, thinking you made a mistake by unlocking... This is a security.
When you open the boot, and if you don't open doors, the security is active for you won't leave the car while he's still unlocked.
    (Is this clear ?...... :-(( )
This does exist since many years on many cars...
